John Simons, a nineteenth-century man filled with dreams of fame and recognition, finds himself at a crossroads in his life. Frustrated by his lack of success, he is desperate for a taste of the fame he believed he deserved. It is during this time of desperation that he encountered a mysterious man in the shadows.
