“Chocolate Bat Cookies

Yield: 16 to 20 cookies
Ingredients:

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened to room temperature

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
-
1 egg
-
1/2 teaspoon vanilla bean paste OR 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
-
1/2 cup unsweetened dark cocoa powder
-
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
-
1/2 teaspoon salt
-
Mini chocolate chips
-
Red cinnamon candies
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray baking sheets with nonstick spray.
2. Cream butter with sugars until fluffy and then beat in egg.
3. Stir in vanilla.
4. Add dry ingredients and mix.
5. Cut into bat shapes.
6. Add cinnamon candies for eyes.
7. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until set.
8. Cool completely on wire racks
